Olympic Celebration, LowCountry style
A reception celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the '96 Olympic Games was recently hosted by Billy Payne, former president and CEO of the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games (ACOG), and held on the J.B. Fuqua Rooftop Pavilion overlooking Centennial Olympic Park. Festivities featured a concert by country singer Trisha Yearwood and fireworks. VIP guests included legendary Olympian Carl Lewis and Dick Ebersol, chairman of NBC Universal Sports & Olympics. Local Atlanta catering company LowCountry Barbecue served the guests its authentic South Carolina LowCountry-style pulled pork barbecue and all the fixings.
